SF Heroes LIVE Community Preparedness Game Starts in 2 Days!

October 9, 2012 in

Get prepared. Win prizes. Are you prepared for emergencies? How about your family and your neighborhood?

The fact is that most of us who live and work in the San Francisco Bay Area aren’t. Why? For some, it’s too much trouble. For some, they just don’t know how. And some are just plain scared and just don’t want to think about it.

On October 11 - 18, the San Francisco Dept. of Emergency Management is embarking on a groundbreaking community preparedness initiative: SF Heroes LIVE--a live action extension of our iPhone and Android app, SF Heroes. Earn points and compete for great prizes donated by local vendors including 49ers tickets, a Play Station 3, jewelry and shopping sprees. Players are given fun and creative tasks to complete that help them to become more prepared and aware. There will be a fun culminating event at Jillian's on the evening of October 18th free to all players.

You can play in teams of up to nine people, so it's good for families and teams of friends or coworkers to work together and become more prepared. And, you don't have to live in San Francisco or have a smart phone to play. Team leaders register at www.sfheroes.com starting October 11 and then invite their team members to join their team.

Come play and get prepared as we all work together to make our city ready for anything.
